Carefully kiln-dried and flame-charred, the cask was prepared to elevate the depth of the oak and the subtle imprint of charcoal. It was first seasoned with high-quality Barbados Rum, imparting notes of molasses, soft spice, and tropical fruit.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe cask then travelled to Denmark’s Stauning Distillery, where it was filled with their renowned Rye new-make whisky. Distilled in traditional pot stills from local barley and rye, the spirit contributed a warm and aromatic profile, bringing flavours of chocolate sauce, dried apricot, orange chocolate, fig, and waxy honey.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eOn 23 May 2022, the cask was filled with our Single Pot Still Whiskey, originally distilled on 16 August 2018 and matured for 3 years and 9 months in ex-Bourbon American oak before its Scandinavian journey began.
